Dear CAMP JERSEY PRODUCTION Parents and Campers,
Thank you for registering for CAMP JERSEY PRODUCTION! We are excited for our two-week production with Camp Jersey and hope that it is a great learning experience for you. “Beetlejuice Jr.” is a musical based off of a well-loved movie and we are planning to have a GREAT time bringing it to life on stage! Listed below are a couple of frequently asked questions as well as instructions for a safe and fun experience.
Arrival Procedure—Camp drop-off will be at the Stage door entrance to the Aronoff Center (7th street between Walnut and Main). On the first day, there will be a counselor at the door to meet you and the campers and to escort them to the rehearsal hall. Subsequent days, the campers can sign-in at the stage door and come down to the rehearsal hall. If you will be late for any reason, please call or text Kelly at 609-617-2402.
Snack—Please bring water to camp as well as a small snack. Please do NOT bring a snack with nuts. Some of our campers are allergic. Restrooms and changing areas are provided.
Clothing requirements—Rehearsal - Campers should wear something they are able to dance/move in as well as appropriate show footwear. Production—Although add-on/special costume pieces for the production are provided, we ask that you provide one basic costume, stockings (if necessary) and a pair of shoes for the show (these will be discussed in detail after casting).
Dismissal Procedure—Campers can be picked up at 4:00 at the stage door. They will be escorted upstairs.
“Beetlejuice Jr.” will be performed in the Jarson-Kaplan Theater at the Aronoff Center on Saturday, August 8th. Showtimes are at 3:30 & 7:00. Campers will be asked to arrive around 90 minutes before the production. Tickets are $18 and $15. More information about tickets will be sent out in June. Ticket sales will be open to the public.
Cell Phones—Because the rehearsal hall is in the basement of the theatre, cell phone reception is sporadic. If you have an emergency and need to contact a Camp Jersey staff member during camp hours, please call Kelly at 609-617-2402 or the Stage Door at 513-977-4128 (please specifically ask for someone with Camp Jersey in the Rehearsal Hall).
